Country and County Flag Shields
An extensive collection, emulating the historical heraldic shield shape. Four styles, ranging from the
largely laser-cut 'Modern' through to the entirely handmade 'Gilded'.

The Gilded range is fully handmade and painted ceramic, on velvet and pine, with a gold leaf border.

The Ancient range is fired with iron oxide, to give a look of old stone, as would typically be seen in a cathedral, or castle.

This range incorporates the handmade aspects of the Gilded range, on a wooden-style shield backing

The Modern range is laser-cut, prior to being hand-painted, below a handmade ceramic name scroll.

The Modern range is 17 cm high

With more intricate designs, such as the Yorkshire rose, the decoration on the Modern range is handmade.

The Gilded range is 24 cm high.

Seen here prior to being attached to the velvet and gold leaf backplate

The decoration on the Modern range, such as the Flag of St Piran here, is painted separately prior to being attached.
